The place and the importance of women in the field of art, music and science is not yet self-evident for all. In these fields, women are, even today, often relegated to the rank of ‘woman of’, ‘models’ or ‘muses’. Yet, for centuries, women have been writing, creating, painting, sculpting, weaving and proving to be fantastic artists, scientists or authors.
Even today, and although in recent years great women figures have emerged in all of these fields, they suffer from belated recognition compared to their peers.”
Nicole King will participate in the round table ‘Women forgotten by history’ where she has chosen to present two painters and two ecologists.
