The artistic process

This painting, done in tempera (the egg technique of the old masters), symbolizes the protection of the oceans, a major challenge of our time. I was inspired by a statue by Lambert Sigisbert Adam (1727), shown here immersed in his underwater world. The god of the sea is preoccupied by the countless threats to the oceans. Canvas created for my retrospective in Paris 8e in January 2023: “De l’écume aux abysses, écologie des profondeurs”.
