Greenpeace France is organizing a charity auction to benefit its ocean protection campaign on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Hôtel des ventes Drouot (on site, online, and by phone). This project, which embodies the meeting of art and activism, both powerful drivers of mobilization, has been made possible thanks to the close collaboration between Greenpeace France, the Charvet gallery, which specializes in painting, drawing, and sculpture, the Nicolas Nouvelet auction house, and artist Tatiana Trouvé.
I had the honor of being asked by Greenpeace to participate in this event alongside many renowned artists. Nearly 200 unique works and pieces, created by well-known figures from the art world and up-and-coming artists, or generously donated by collectors, will be offered for sale: paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, designer fashion items, and more.
To support this cause, which is close to my heart and has inspired my artistic work for over 30 years, I have donated my painting “Endangered Shark” (2025, 54 x 73 cm).
Over 35% of shark species are now threatened with extinction. Overfishing and ecosystem degradation are the main factors. In this painting, the bright colors of the corals suggest the surrounding ecosystem, while the shark appears to be partially erased.
The magic of painting allows us to invent processes adapted to the subject, in this case the disappearance of a species that is fading away before our eyes…
The works will be on display at the Hôtel Drouot from November 22:

• Monday, November 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Tuesday, November 25, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
