I was lucky enough to take part in a second live broadcast on the UNOC at Aligre FM “Les Arènes de l’Écologie” presented by François Delaunay, “Océans, quelles perspectives après Nice?” on June 18, 2025.
We take stock of the progress made at this event, which brought together more than 130 countries and will, in particular, finally obtain the ratification of the 60 countries required for the High Seas Biodiversity Treaty known as BBNJ: the 2/3 of the oceans that were not protected will finally be able to benefit from international law, including for the creation of new marine protected areas!
