Today is World Oceans Day! To mark the occasion, the documentary Women Action for the Oceans was unveiled this morning at the UNOC in Nice.
It highlights the women around the world who are working to protect marine life and preserve biodiversity through science, advocacy and local action.
I was honored to be selected to appear in this documentary. In it, I bear witness to the fact that art, by appealing to everyone’s sensitivity and wonder in the face of nature’s beauty, can and must contribute to alerting us to the transformative changes needed in society.
